Michael's professional career began in 1994 when he became one of the first tattooists to operate in Fairfax, VA. Having served his Apprenticeship in MD, he worked & furthered his education in DE & Orlando, FL. There, he founded EYESPEAK to sell art, prints & merch at group art shows.
In 2004, EYESPEAK opened its doors in Michael's hometown of Fairfax as a Private Tattoo Studio, serving a large local clientele & traveling collectors from the US & beyond. The focus was on large-scale tattooing, drawing inspiration from both American & Japanese traditions. Combining these influences with his own artistic style, these works often covered much of the client's bodies. In 2020, Michael sold the studio to trusted friends & it still thrives in that same location.
Michael now focuses on canvas painting, illustration on paper & merchandise design from his home studio in the Shenendoah Valley.
